My father died was i was 2 so i dont even remember anything about him sucks. My mom always told me he loved me and my sister more them life itself. My mom had boyfirends but they always came in a far second to what a dad was supposed to be. For me it was hard growing up without a dad to take me fishing show me hoew to fix a car and just dad stuff. Now that i have 2 boys i swear i will always be there for my boys god willing cause i know how important it is to have a dad around. The messed up thing is growing up most of my friends fathers where either dead or did just not care or toke off the moment they found out there girlfirend was pregant. Anyway i was just thinking about him thought i would share

RIP to your pops
this thread made me think of mine...sad cause we don't see eye to eye and never will.

couldn't imagine growing up without a father. without a dad who knows how much trouble I'd have gotten into as an adolescent. you need a father figure to strike fear in your heart every once in a while.

Care to tell at all what he's like?

My father and I never had a father-son relationship, unfortunately. He never participated in my life and almost always showed no interest in my personal, academic or professional endeavors. My mother however, did a great job and I can say that I have not been damaged from groing up without a dad because my mom kind of tried her best to make up. Now I am 19 and my father fucking wants to charge me a RENT for the apartment I live in, which belongs to mom + dad (they divorced 2 and half years ago). Oh yeah, he threatened to sue me 2 a couple of times, but he has no legal grounds or courage to do so.

Lesson I learnt:
Never try and change people, try to change the way you deal with people :)

Cheerio,
