Growing herb

Roadblock

New member
Anyone have some hints or websites for this? I got my friends plants because he was moving and I know nothing about this and to prevent a quick and sure death for my new green friends I need info. Thanks!

I got plants ready to be harvested. This is the first time growing them and I was unsure of what to expect. However, since August the plants have exploded!!!! Full of buds, 6 inches long, incredibly sticky, and the aroma!!!

This is going to be awesome smoke. Started with Edelweiss clones and not seeds, for those interested.

Very cool hengst.

I dabble just enough to keep a personal supply around.

I've been planning my own little garden for a while now. :) I have everything....'cept the seeds, and i'll be getting those in a week or two.

Mmmmmm....cheap, tasty weed.

I got 2 plants and some seeds but I have no clue what they are. One plant is just 4-5inches tall and the other is over 1 foot. He had 5 or 6 plants before but most of them died of the fertilizer he was using, thesewere the only ones who survived :(

Roadblock- if you need help and are serious, either pm me or email.

Hengst- are they outside or in, don't pick to early , pistils are at least 85% red?
Good luck, harvest properly, cure a bit. peace

Havoc - they're growing outside and the pistils are actually white (hence the name edelweiss). And, actually, I'm am a bit unsure of when to harvest. I'm thinking with-in the next few weeks. (weather is changing here, starting to get chilly and wet)

Roadblock - I used Miraclegro worked like a miracle. Will you be able to plant them outside or will you keep them inside? These plants have a huge root ball, almost as large as the plant itself, so, if you are going to keep them inside they will need ALOT of fertilizer, fairly large pots and grow lamps. Your 3-way living room lamp will not be sufficiant.

End of October my man, go to www.hempcultivation.com click on the "Harvesting, Drying, Storing, etc" forum, on the top of that forum there is a sticky called "Harvesting 101" ,check it out, like it was mentioned already, there is another sticky called "grow guide", click on "harvesting" and it will lead you to a proper harvest, if your pistils are still white then it is not time, have the trichomes turned into small mushroom caps(going to need a good magnifying glass), the hairs need to turn brother, good luck, be patient, don't mess her up. peace

me & roommates had a full scale growroom in college, 3 rooms, clones under flourescent, grow under metal halide, flower under high pressure sodium, using hydroponics solution in rockwool cubes for all.. we used seeds from HempBC, had strains of skunk, northern lights #5 x haze, and california indica (my favorite)..

I recomend getting the hydro formulas from a grow shop and use some rockwool cubes, pretty inexpensive and you can work with the mixture of formulas to get the best growth out of the plants..

What are you using for lights? We stole our ballasts and bulbs from parking lot lamps.. you can buy bulbs now that are a mix between the metal halide and high pressure sodium..

based on past experience, when you think the plants are done, wait a couple more weeks.. you want the crystals to start to turn brown and have the mushroom caps like havoc said. The changing of the seasons will help with the flowering because you will start getting the 12on-12off of sunlight that is needed for flowering..

roadblock- sounds like youve got awhile before you'll have any buds.. hopefully you've got a female in the bunch.. you're going to want to watch where the leaves reach the stem and look at the bud formations.. look online to see what to look for in determining sex.. get the males out of there as soon as you see them, the males are garbage and will ruin your crop.. you'll be lucky if 50% of the seeds produce females as well.. once you know which are females you can take clones and work with them from that point on..

check out the websites mentioned, if youve got any questions, let me know-
