Ground beef 1 pound a day...too much?

I want to put on weight, currently I am at ~182 lbs and I want to hit 200 lbs by the end of the sememster or more. I am thinking of eating roughly a pound of ground meat a day, ground beef with all the different flavors of hamburger helpers. Ground beef is 80/20 with 112 grams of protein and 74.6 grams of fat per pound. I don't want to put on too much fat either. I hate doing the low carb diet at the end to lean up.

So you think this is a overkill? Is there any other alternative? I also consume 1 packet of tuna every day, and roughly a whole chicken every other day.

My workout regime consistes of mostly free weights with running .25-.4 miles at the end.

wow

with all different flavors of hamburger helper? have fun getting fat as fuck.

eating the pound of meat is a good idea to bulk but forget that hamburger helper shit.

LOL..........eat 10lbs of ground beef if you want, just lose the helper! How about some manwhichs?????? Homemade that is.....

eat steak man. it's only $2.59/lbs, and it has much less fat. Or buy leaner ground beef, such as 93% lean one. I think it's around $3/lbs

well, maybe not that cheap for a quality red meat source, but still worth it......... think 96% lean is around $4....and steaks a little higher..........

Ohh yhea I feel like a fucking carnivor! Just finished consuming 1.20 lbs of ground meat. Never had this much meat in my life before in a 24 hour peroid I think. Btw I don't see what the big deal with hamburger helpers is. It has 1 gram of fat, and 22 grams of carb, and 4 grams of protein in the package.

Is there an efficient way of removing the fat? I basically boil it for 5-10 min then drain the water and strain it till its pretty dry.
I will try to find leaner meat next time.

You don't see what's wrong with Hamburger Helper?

It helps you get FAT AS SHIT!!!!

Bruh, when you diet, you must cut carbs unless you like to purposely lose lean mass just as you do lard, although you'll lose the lean mass equally as fast as the lard when you just reduce over-all calories.

Not only do you have WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too many damn carbs, they are the shittiest form of processed dogshit love handle contributing white flour...........

JKurz said it best in another thread..........do a search and some reading.

Ok, so HH is out, what about spagattie? Can someone explain to me why carbs aren't good for me? Thats the sense I am getting out of this discussion. Don't you need carbohydrates for energy? And I eat this usually right before hitting the gym.

BTW if you want to make some funny comment or something sarcastic keep it to yourself. Its not constructive discussion, and its not helping out anyone other than your bloated ego.

breathin-

carbs aren't bad you, just certain kinds of carbs, especially processed carbs.

You want to stick to good carbs like oatmeal, brown rice, yams, sweet potatoes, whole wheat bread, etc.

Don't go crazy with them, I just eat enough to fuel my workouts and then to replace glycogen after.....

and after you follow chewys solid advice, lighten up a little...no one was poking fun, bro.......sometimes people get sarcastic like when you can't spell spaghetti, but it's all in fun and happens to everyone...not just you.......

Oh, and you know what? If HH is working for you and you arent getting the chub and you're gettn stronger, than screw what everyone else says.....they/I are just going by the "bible".....but, different strokes for different folks.....cool?

If you'll gonna beef it up, huh huh, BARBEQUE IT. Along with cooking it to well done will help remove much of the fat. Don't use tons of sauce, garlic, pepper, and light salt.

ORRRRRRRRR...get the <96% and dont sweat it............
That shit is so freaking expenisive. Over $3.50 per pound:( I got 2 pounds of 92%. I would like to barbecue but its not avaliable where I live. Plus I want something thats easy and fast to cook, lazy college boy I be.
