Greg Kovaks

I met him once. He said he was about 370 then, but he looked like shit. The only reason he ever got his pro card is his soze. Aesthetically(sp) he looks like shit.
 
He actually seemed to be a really nice guy. Just doesn't have the look to succeed in BBing IMO.
 
Even in contest condition his waist looked to be at least 36 inches.
 
anyone know what hes been up to lately? i remember hearing how depressed he was after muscletech dumped him
 
i feel he is too big anyways. i like the classic steve reeves anyday, i just dont care for that size, dont think i am taking anything away from him, just i feel he is too big for a bber and what ever happend to propitonal builds? :confused:

i am curious about his claims in the wieght room

I look ten time better than he does....when I am in out of season shape and he is in contest shape.......

But he is still a big mofo.......when I met him the first time he weighed 410......

but you would be too at 410 pounds of lean muscle mass.........
 
I see the guy at a local Club here in Toronto all the time, he's always at the afterhours club "Film".

Very nice guy, I know a woman he dated, he's got quite the foot fetish I heard and quite a few other problems but I can't remember specifics

I sweat my ass off in those clubs but he is swimming in a pool of his own sweat high off Xtc and God knows what else.

Got up to Dance one time, stayed up for 2-3 minutes, sat back down and started throwing up between his legs.
 
lol he is a big fucker, i bet he does sweat a ton ! ya his quality of muscle isnt there, guy has made it as being a freak though, so props for that. is he an IFBB pro?

Yes he is a pro. Honestly, I use to laugh at him, but after meeting him a handful of times and getting to know him, he's gained my respect. Very nice friendly guy, even invited to an after party at 7am but I went somewhere else that night. Even introduced me to the bouncers, told them I was a really good friend of his so now my group and I just bypass the line and cover whenever I go there.

Great guy, he knows he fucked his body up, but he's still upbeat no matter what.

Not paying attention to symmetry, doing heavy leg presses, excessive steroid and growth hormone use....partying heavily.

His kidneys are completely fucked.

he's got that dave palumbo problem... his symetry will never be right again. Only met him one time and he was rather soft spoken for being a living giant and seemed genuine.

maybe i'm retarded but how does one judge symmetry? I've never really had an eye for it...are there specific things to look for?

his waistline is like ronnie coleman's... very blocky but ronnie can usck it in for most of his appearances and especially for shows... kovavs waist is almost as big as his shoulders... in bodybuilding people look for that X frame along with muscularity.

Muscletech dumped him when he showed at the Mr. O with a majorly bloated gut and Flex did a couple nasty jabs at him in their rag.

Kovaks did a guest pro-appearance at a show I was at in the fall of 1999. I watched him walk up a few dozen stairs to his seat in the theatre where the show was taking place... I thought he was going to die right there and then. He was gripping the railing with both hands and wheezing like he was at death's door.

Its the epitome of irony... that some view him as a specimen.

U think Coleman or Ruhl are much healthier? Maybe Kovaks has the first foot in the door but these boys ain't too far behind.
 
He's a really down to earth guy. I used to train at the same gym as him even before he got his pro card. He does lift those huge weights. I've seen him do it many times. Inclined 6 plates a side for 4 reps, free weight, not Smith machine. Lives on GH, Test and EQ. And his measurements are real. I've seen it.
