If you like that straight forward hard rock you might want to check out Alabamba Thunderpussy and Sixty Watt Shaman. Looks like it would be up your alley....... and if you want something heavier you really have to listen to High On Fire.


Also, the thread seemed to want to know about bands that aren't well known and those choices didn't seem to be all that obscure.
