Great Carb source....

i was going through my pantry today and i found cans of kidney beans. i opened and drained on can and ate it! they are so good!

i can't believe how much fiber are in those things!

7 grams per serving.... 4 servings per can!
18 carbs per serving
i had 1 can of "no sodium added"

but the other have sodium... about 16% of rda per serving :(
 
it is a great source of carbs and fiber

and if you add cereals (like rice) it is also a good source of complete proteins

I've been a big proponent of beans; most of my carb recommendation post have beans in them. A GREAT source of fiber to say the least.

100g's of lentils contain:
57g's carbs
30 g's fiber
28g's protein


1g fat ;)

Lentils are great!
Extremely low on GI chart!
