Got the call from the T-Doc

My T is lower than when I started the Androgel. No shit Sherlock, my body's been saying that for a few weeks. Hopefully he'll go injectable and not a double dose of Androgel.

Bring up injections to him and tell him you don't mind doing it yourself. If he utterly shoots you down then politely ask him for a copy of all of your lab work and referral to a new doctor because obviously you're not on the same page.

Not everybody responds to topicals, simple as that. My husband was the same way. It's weird, he got none of the benefits of the therapy but it further shut down his natural production. Darned if I know what's going on and I don't think the doctors do, either.

Thanks,

I felt pretty good for about 2 1/2 weeks then I levelled out and now sliding. I want to ask about HCG, but I doubt that will fly. This is a paid clinic, so referral is not really an option, since my regular GP won't even renew the existing prescription. Although he thought 5gr of Andro was a joke; he used to be a Team Dr.

That's exactly what happened with him, took him like a month, maybe two (it's been years now), first out, responded well then it was like he was using nothing.

There are other doctors out there who understand andropause/TRT, just google around, try antiaging doctors in your area if you're not comfortable with the doc.

Really, if it's a paid clinic, just tell him you hate the frigging gel and it's not cutting it. Most doctors are usually pretty flexible, they automatically assume nobody wants to do the shots because "civilians" are generally creeped out by needles (and it is awkward shooting yourself in the butt with that stuff, it's very thick easier to get someone else to do it for you, really).

My husband's never done HCG, frankly. Doesn't matter to him if the boys are working or not and smaller is better in his book :whatever:

Most normal docs are super conservative with test treatments and waste months trying to get you to the proper dose. If you go with a true TRT clinic they will have you on solid doses and feeling good right from the start.

fire your doc. if your doc won't listen go find another one.. who cares if he isn't under your insurance or whatever. pay up for results.

Yeah, paying isn't really the issue; already done that. There is no private insurance here and they frown on doctor shopping, even if I could find a GP to treat it. The 'Men's Clinic' is little more than a Cialis pusher, which my previous GP would give out free, but would not even test for low T. (Hence the previous). I'll likely go to the US at some point, but I want to see how far my 'membership' will take me first. If I do go to the US, getting a prescription renewal becomes problematic.
