Yeah, in Florida (where I am at least) you really need at least a Masters and usually even a specialty degree beyond that to be a "psychologist". 4 year degrees basically don't do dick. I'm not saying they're pointless...but they're pointless. I'm applied for the doctoral program bc combining the two is like, one extra year...so might as well.
I don't even necessarily plan on beings psychologist. I just know it will help me with my girls. Experience can't teach you everything, and when I work with kids who's parents are still in their lives, the parents are more receptive to having a paper than just knowing I've been through whatever it is myself.
