Got a note from the post office today.

It said that I have certified mail that needs to be picked up. Obviously, I won't go, but it's strange to me because the package I'm expecting is an import. I would think I would get a seizure letter from customs, not a trap by my local post office.

If its a set up or controlled delivery then you wont get a seizure letter.

You wouldn't receive a notice like that for anything else would you? For example, I got a notice like that once and it was to pick up an important letter. Just a thought.

Yes certified mail does require a signature. Contact your guy and ask if he sent it certified and if so why....

Also think it may be safe to go to post office and see what it is before signing....

Ideas?

You're probably OK, If your package is from Russia, Czeck Republic, Poland or surrounding areas......it may be sent certified mail by the country of origin. I wouldn't worry about it bro....just pick it up and sign for it. I have to sign for every overseas package I order and none of my sources have ever purposely sent the packages certified.

hey dude everything that comes from russia is sent certified check with your man i had the same prob. with my russian dbol let me know

Everything I got was from Russia was certified and I got notes saying I had to pick up the package at the post office and sign.

Every time it is fine. Don't worry bro - go get your stuff!

i got a certified letter the other day that i had to sign for. heres the story, i sent cash to a domestic guy and i did not know but he got busted the day before i sent money and the letter was from the US POSTAL INSPECTION SERVICE, it just said they had seized a package of mine and i could contest the seizure, but he had never sent me anything yet. what they took was my money. needless to say i had to chalk it up as a loss.

Pretty weird to me, maybe they tried to deliver once at your home but you weren't there so they just dropped the package at the post office......

I got a letter from the post office. It was to pick up a package. It wasnt AS. Fuck it i wouldnt go. Better safe than sorry.

The thing is, what if I sent AS to Joe schmoe, just to set him up. I dont think they can bust you this way. Am I off here? I mean you can always say I dont know what the hell this shit is and I have no who idea who this person is that sent the package. What can they say I personally have no faith in the system, and will continue to do what I do until I am busted, and then I will retain an excellent lawyer.

well do all you guys put your actual name on these packages??? might want to consider an alias so that way you know what the letter is for and not a guessing game of whether it is your gear or not.

bulldawg

I never sign for anything, and I send stuff under a false name just to make sure... I've heard people say that this draws more attention to your package (which makes sense), but I don't want to risk putting my name on anything...

This also allows you to do the old write RETURN TO SENDER on the package and leave it for a couple days...

Who is the sender? I recieved one of those little yellow sheets of paper saying I had a certified letter at the post office, the thing is it was from U.S. Customs. Obviously a seizure letter telling me I go my gear. I did not pick it up, it could of just been a letter, could of been an indictment. If it is from U.S. Customs then they have your gear.

if you use an alias name you need to send some stuff to yourself letters and packages with that alias name so they get used to seeing it

i got the same thing from overseas. dont be worried, it is just a way for the sender to make sure he doesnt get scammed
