I'm pretty sure that is not Waylon Jennings, even though he definitely looked different when he was younger.

Jennings was in The Crickets, but I don't know if he was in long enough to make any of their album covers.

Can't be Jennings, 'cause Jennings played bass for Holly, and the guy on the right is Joe B. Mauldin, who was the Crickets' original bassist.

I'm no longer sure that the guitarist in the picture is Tommy Allsup either, it could be Jerry Allison.
