Good way to bulk without adding much fat

To try to minimize fat gains when bulking try this. Eat your BMR or 7 days then for next 3 days bump calories up 1000-1500 a day, then back to BMR for 7 days then bump again for 3 days. Keep repeating. Will add some size with least possible fat gain.
 
Won't that limit your size gains? Wouldn't it be better to eat BMR for 3 days and well above maintenance for 7 days?
