Good techno songs?

Athernigy

New member
I am looking for some good techno songs, any suggestions? :)

There is this song that has the following words in it:
holding you in my arms
there's something ...

I have no idea what the name is, anyone know?

Thanks. :)

Old Stuff (late 80's early 90's)
Apotehosis: O Fortuna (Carl Orff remix, GREAT song)
Norther Lights: Confessions of a Raver
Trance Control: Atomic Dance Explosion
Raving Lunatics: Patsy's Breakdown
Bass Boys: Out of Sight
Fusion Factor: The Emperor
Just about anything by Lords Of Acid
Art of Noise
Trance Opera series of disks...

Little bit newer (mid/late 90's on)
Anything PPK but I really like the M.L.K song...
Lucas: Need for Speed, Red Shadow, Revolution
Neo-Gen: Sex on the Beach
Underworld: Born Slippy
Prodigy is okay.
Moby's remix of Bitter Sweet Symphony
DJ Skribble...
N-Trance (much more dane than techno)

Mysterious World
Aint No Future
Close my Eyes
For the club

Anything my DJ TRASHY, DJ MOON, DJ MOOCH, JOHNNY CAGE, and D-ZAM.

Are you talking about the remake of the Bryan Adams song, Heaven?

Baby you're all that I want
When you're lyin' here in my arms
I'm findin' it hard to believe
We're in heaven
And love is all that I need
And I found it here in your heart
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven

i do not mean to get too technical, but techno music does not have vocals.

You are really talking about electronic music.

I would call that more of a Jungle music....Techno was originally no vocals and just beats, but the term has changed since the coming of newer club/techno music.

The track athernigy was talking about is top 40 pop. Not even close to techno, house, hard house, progressive or anything else.

Just get on Kazaa and do a search for DJ X, Trashy, FBI, Tony Faline, Rick West, Sharaz and any other good DJ's. There are thousands of bad ass songs on there.

People may call this too "poppy" but I like the techno remixes of some of the great Classical tunes by Mozart etc.

I also found a pretty cool remix of the Star Wars theme the other day, I like Oakenfold, I love Prodigy(mindfields my favorite), love Crystal Method, etc.

I have the song and can't think of the title.

Im pretty sure you are talking about : Lasgo - Something

there is another cool Lasgo song called Alone

and oh I dont think its techno, its some sort of mix between dance and trance.

yeah, interesting point about good techno not having vocals. I don't particularly agree, but I'll qualify this - a song like Silence / Delerium ( DJ Tiesto mixing sarah mclachlan ) is about the best vocals & techo gets. As long as the vocals flow with the beats, and don't steer the song (like a typical top 40 piece of crap song does), then all the sound flows together. and that is what makes a good tune.

incidentally a good rule of thumb is that if there are more than like 10 different words vocalized then the vocals are taking over. or at least that's what I tend to think, when thinking...

Please stop associating these shit, cheesy commercial Trance tunes with Techno. Techno is it's own genre, it don't just mean dance music. Proper Techno is fucking amazing.......cheesy Trance...err....isn't.

Those of us who are true Techno connoisseurs understand what you're talking about. :)
