Let me tell you something about these bozos. I belonged to a Gold's Gym in White Plains, New York. They switched to Planet Fitness and told everyone they could add onto their memberships or join at $99 dollars a year or 10 dollars a month.
Two months later they took out all the benches, barbells and squat racks and dumbells over 75. The only thing left was all the cardio, machines and 3 smiths.
I moved but I would still go to another branch for cardio on some times because it's literally down the block from my house and my membership had not expired... and this summer they took away the smith machines and now it is exclusively machines, no plates of any kind, and dumbells up to 75 but now they have 2.5 pound dumbell increments.. and all the machines and walls are painted yellow and purple.
And since its so cheap... if you go between 5pm and 10 pm the line for each machine is literally 3 people or more.
BOTTOM LINE... if you lift any kind of weight, or are doing any kind of grunting, or follow any kind of legitimate workout plan you probably shouldn't be a member of that franchise in the first place.
