First off, most of you that have kept up with my recent post know that I am a few weeks out from finishing up a fina/winny cycle.
The purpose of this cycle was quality muscle and strength, not so much in large amounts, but steady, keepable gains while shedding some fat.
Now, I just started cardio for the first time this past Monday, which began week 6 of the cycle. Before cardio that morning, I had my bf% checked and it was at 16%... mind you it was at 22% at week 1 of the cycle! No cardio + Fina/Winny dropped 8% body fat.
Along with starting up the cardio in the mornings, I am on a calorie defecit utilizing mostly protein / quality fats / low carbs and absolutely no sweets whatsoever. I also began NYC and Yohimburn. Hopefully I can get it down close to 10% before fall.
The trainer that checked my body fat pinched 3 spots... the spot between your chest and delt, the gut, and the thigh. Oddly enough, he couldn't get ANYthing on the legs. He had someone else try and they just gave up
In addition, after staring at me like a piece of meat for a while, he said:
"You know, I've been in this business a long time... and worked at 3 different Gold's Gyms in the past 10 years... I've just got to say, you have got the freakiest genetics I have seen in a while... once you lose some of that fat, you are going to be sick; especially through the delts and traps."
He said it appeared that my genetics are just not favorable to fat... no one in my extended family is overweight. For instance, my dad is nearly 65 and his body fat is at 9%.
But, just as everyone else has things they regret, I used andro in high school and gained a good bit of weight, however, most of it was estrogenically related fat gain...
I've got this disproportionate fat build up on my sides and chest area, and in fact, I used to have hard tissue gyno from the andro, believe it or not, it went away on its own after I quit using it.
Anyhow, just wanted to share my experience, and I will post final results when this cycle is over.
