good mornings and flexability

i am thinking of adding good mornings to my routine but i have some issues. i have been practicing form with a 15 pound bar and i can barely bend a few inches before my hamstrings hurt like hell. how far are u suposed to bend and hold an arched back. i also was looking into my flexability as an issue i can come no where close to touching my toes without bending my knees. if i sit down and do a hmstring stretch i cant even get halfway down my shin before my knees want to move. i have never been flexible and i dont want to injure myself. so should i work on flexibility for a while then think about good mornings. do i put my self at high risk being this inflexible and doing squats and deadlifts also.

Definately work on flexibility, and if you are having trouble maintaining your arch, it could mean your lower back is weak. Stick w/ hypers and other lowback movements till you can support the weight.
