You guys are being mean.:(

No, we're talking about an MRI

Hey I am afraid of small places. :worried:

...is it a closed magnet??.....they have an open one in Atlanta that is fantastic for those of us who do not like confined spaces.

good luck.....and request a valium....

im sure they will do it quickly....good luck :)

I heard of one guy who freaked out in one of those and started kicking and screaming and accidentally kicked through the glass and electrocuted himself, only the current was minor so he was simply frozen in place inside the now-dark tomb as pain pulsed throughout his entire body starting with his foot and moving up past his genitals into his cranium...

Good luck!

Good luck big!

Been there, done that! Put those ear plugs in! Don't be an idiot like myself when I realized they were in my palm after they shoved me in!

If closed spaces bother you, close your eyes and have them talk to you while the procedure is in process!

The hell with them talking to me. I want a pretty nurse in there with me.;) :p :p

Big,

KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED! The machine makes an incredible amount of noise, but don't open your eyes for a split second to look around once you are inside. They've gotten smart and have constant air circulating around you. It is actually VERY comfortable... and if you keep your eyes closed you won't even be fully aware that it is a tight space.

Also, as an FYI... they will let a friend be in the room with you when you get an MRI. I've held a couple hands of friends who were in the machine. It isn't that they are scared. It just actually reduces the sense of being in a tight space if you hold someone's hand. It is like feeling you have an immediate ability to get out if you want to.

It'll be OK. Just close your eyes and think about drinking magaritas on the beach. :)

SG, I'd love to help dog pile karma on Bigs but I haven't spread the love enough lately...

I survived!!!!;)

Ms. V. it did seem like forever.:(

On the plus side, I think I found a way for the government to get any terrorist to confess. I know I was willing to confess to anything to get out.

p.s. Thanks everyone.

Glad to hear it went well hun. I'm dreading if I ever have to have one of those things. I don't like small spaces like that either. I knew you'd survive though! :)
