Good Lotion??? For Dry Winter Skin

I drink water maybe not as much as I should but all this heat( in the house and office) is drying out my skin. I have been using Lubriderm but it doesn't seem to be working anymore...skin is still dry. Anyone have a good lotion or creme that they use??

for my face, the best thing I've ever found was stuff called "cetaphil" - moisturizing cream. I can't find it in the states, they do have some sort of face wash here, but I can't find the cream - but I love the stuff. my ex used to bring it to me from Bermuda - so I assume they also have it in canada and/or the uk.

for the body the best I've used it neutragena moisture for sensative skin - the stuff is excellent.

I used to use lubriderm in college and once I tried these others that I mentioned, I've never gone back. also tried vasoline intensive care, and it wasn't as good either.

also make sure you are getting enough fats - I know that if I don't take in enough fat that my skin gets dry.
Udo's Choice oil blend is excellent.

I use a generic lotion that combines Cocoa Butter and Aloe Vera and it does the job well. I also add Vitamin E oil to my elbows where I have the most significant drying.

I like Eucerine for the body, Cetaphil cream for the face, and Aquaphor for the lips.

Always use moisturizer when your skin is still moist from washing, bathing, etc. so it will TRAP in the moisture. Don't dry off first, just blot the excess water then slather on the moisturizer. Any time you get your skin wet, put lotion on right away. Lotions don't really give you moisture, they just help hold it in.

Sounds gross but try Emu oil. Or shea butter, Neutregena's body oil, or Curel.

I use Cetaphil - The face wash and the creme - I swear by it.

They sell big jugs of it at BJ's - and if anyone wants some I'll send it to you. Dry skin is hell - much empathy you'll get from me.

The wash and jug o' creme are like $7.49 (for the wash) - 10ish each (the creme).

For the body I'm hooked on Bath & Body Work's body cremes.

YES!!! the Cetaphil CREME is FABULOUS. Just started using it a month ago. Derm recommended it because I'm started Accutane (which dries your skin to a complete crisp - at least it did when I took it 15 years ago). I bought a big tub and use it on my whole body. My skin is as soft and smooth as it's EVER been!!

RE;

Try something called CAMPHOR CREAM im not sure if you have it in your country but in South Africa its very popular for dry skin :)
