Chechnya wanted to seperate from the russians?
Well, I have a feeling there won't be a chechnya for much longer.

And if that shit happens to the US courtesy of Al-Qaeda, oh dear lord I fear for the ME region....
 
Of the 27 hostage takers killed, 10 were Arabs from various countries.

I thought something like this might be the case when I heard one of the kids tell the BBC that the hostage takers yelled at them in a language they couldn't understand. This was a kid who got away on the 1st day.

Maybe Russia will flatten the Middle East.

I was kinda hoping that the US would bomb the entire ME into a giant parking lot after 9/11....but it never happened. The old Soviet Union might have had the balls to do it, but I think modern-day Russia's response will fall far short of what MOST of us would like to see.

These people have serious problems. I'm pretty hateful myself, just because I don't genuinely like dealing with people but...what the fuck? Seriously. Someone just needed to beat these people as kids. Assholes.
 
The Russians will do the same thing they did after that Theatre episode and hundreds were killed.

Nothing.

Chechnya is a deadly terrain. A war battlezone. Russia lost of a lot of their men there and i don't think they want to start another full blown war.

Any group who uses CHILDREN as fodder in their religious-based wars is pure evil....killing, scarring, maming, children = atrocious and I have NO tolerance or empathy towards their Allah-driven cause....their actions are the epitome of evil and terror and they must be stopped....

When California doesn't want to give license to illegals -- 50,000 mexicans take to the streets. When muslims blow up buildings and islam is being blamed -- not a single damn muslim makes it a point to condemn it publicy and show their support for the US troops. notta.

Hell there wer emore protests by islamic groups against the patriot act than against al qaeda. Sorry if i don't have too much sympathy for followers of islam these days.
 
Not too sure about that. I saw protests around here about the Iraqi backlash against the American bombins. All the people in the crowd were of ME descent as far as I could see. I also saw some local Mosque leaders loudly denouce terroirst networks and demanded the people in the group help out in anyway they can.

we should destroy thies beasts before they spread. we should put them in working camps and do experiments on them..... when they grow too weak to work we can exterminate them in huge fire places...

My reason for using this phrase is at least 10 of these terrorists were Muslims....why is it then that Arabs who are practicing muslims and who worship Allah, think it is acceptable to kill in his name...not only kill...but kill CHILDREN....it is true that the impetus for this takeover wasn't god-driven, however, I am admittedly biased towards any muslim extremist nowadays...go figure...

Buddy...if you're the same Boden I remember seeing round here a couple yrs back..I think you're a very intelligent, thoughtful and downright hilarious guy at times...However, take a second and read before you react..Gregory didnt say one thing about destroying the whole Arab/Muslim nation..and I certainly am not either....as with anything, you cannot condemn a whole for the actions of certain members..However, you cannot deny that there are a hell of a lot of members of the muslim faith nowadays who are using the Koran, using the name of Allah, and using their faith as justification of Terrorism, Beheadings, Bombings, shootings, KILLING KILLING KILLING....my god man, did you watch the tape of that young American engineer getting his head sawed off with a knife? Finally somebody asks the right question. We are all being very poorly informed about the sources of hatreds and conflicts in this world. In the case of Chechnya it´s really very simple... Chechnya´s got lots of oil, but it´s the Russian government profiting, not the Chechnyan people, who are very poor.

Hence they don´t want anything to do with mr Vladimir Putin.

Russia has a history of rigging elections. Supposedly Vladimir Putin won the presidential election by 99% of the votes. Now there were local elections in Chechnya and reportedly the pro-Kremlin guy won by 70%. I´m not sure I buy it....

Well these are the roots of Chechnyan discontent. They hardly provide motivation for the murder of a few hundred children. Surely the hate demonstrated by these criminals does not represent the average Chechnyan.
 
What´s unique and remarkable about Chechnyan anti-Russian terrorism is how the majority of the "martyrs" doing it are women. Motivated bitches I tell you.

Word. Nobody gave a fuck what was going on before this. Now all of sudden there's "Muslim" and "Dead Children" in the same sentence and everybody is outraged. I am too....but does everybody believe that Russia didn't commit atrocities of their own against the Chechans before this....

weeeeeeell i was reading an article by a chechnyan guy about the most recent elections (before all of this happened, strangely enough) and i think that the vote was legit. the choice between the kremlin backed guy and a local guy was basically one of war or not - and the chechnyan populace caved and decided to go with the kremlin backed guy (supposedly because he is barely palatable anyway) rather tahn take a step back 3 years ago where there were abductions, murders and blood in the streets of grozny

i think that this forum is one of the worst i have seen for people not knowing background behind various incidents - if anyones interested, go take a look at pictures from a bombed out grozny a few years ago, at some of the things done to the chechnyans to drive them to this point

its a shame taht the whole islam/middle eastern connection had to come up, because really, the chechnyans have been severely wronged by moscow...the involvement of islamic middle easterners using the whole sorry saga as a stage for their jihad and entry to heaven really does muddy the water quite a bit, and paints a picture of the chechnyans as a bunch of savage islamic radicals

ill be honest, if someone did to my family what the russians have done to some chechnyans, some sort of mass destruction like the poisoning of water supplies etc would be on the agenda

no offense but some of the peeps here need to read up before they start with the "carpet bomb chechnya!!" bullshit. because it already was.
 
See, this is all never going to stop. Someone has to be the "bigger man", so to speak, rather than act as a child, using past wrongs committed to them and/or their people as their reasons for doing what they do. Basically, who's going to decide they don't want revenge? That getting the last word is so important.

In short - when will they grow the fuck up? I mean, GD if what you said is true (which I don't doubt), then Russia started this as far as I know now. Then the Chechnyans are doing this. Now Russia will strike back, giving Chechya further motivation for their heinous acts.

A line needs to be drawn somewhere. This needs to be brought to an end. Not by extermination of any whole peoples, as easy as that would be. The innocent children was taking it too far, but if the Chechnyans were to do what the Russians did to them I'd say drop it from there. Both of you go home. End it.

I understand what yuo're saying....this whoole "eye for an eye" thing..but to DELIBERATELY and INTENTIONALLY target CHILDREN is evil...if a group must retaliate (and I'm not altogether convinced that I blame them for some type of retaliation after what they've been through), do NOT use children, the most INNOCENT of all the victims in these wars, as tools to further your cause..to purposely choose a school....a dwelling with hundreds of children, as your battleground..is especially evil....

bro, i just dont think that because you can bomb schools(children),hospitals(innocent people) with airplains and not briefcases you should not be considered a terrorist. almost every major religion kills or has killed in the name of the religon. from the crusades to the "preemtive" bombings of palestine.
