Good all-in-one printers?

Fax, network-ready. Which have a good, simple set-up and a useful set of features? High print quality would be nice, but not crucial. I won't be using it much, and probably not to impress (but having good shit is always cool...), so speed isn't paramount.

I'd rather try something other than HP, since their software is often problematic.

I'm leaning towards a Canon Pixma, perhaps the MX700.
