I own a timeshare in Cancun and have been going there every year for the past 5 years. 2 out of the 5 times Ive went Ive been searched by customs when arriving in the states. I would never try and bring anything back home from Cancun.

when I was there last March, all the little pharmacys sold steriods (no prescriptions)-- goto the plaza area near Daddy Os.

I go diving in Cancun or Cozumel at least once a year and I would Never try smuggling gear. I’ve been search many times, they pick people at random here and there so you never know. Getting busted is just not worth saving a few bucks. You could always start a cycle there or something, and I’ve heard of ppl mailing stuff back but not sure if I would go that route either. Let other ppl take those risks.

Listen to the folks here. Do you really think that its worth it to smuggle that shit into the country? Expecially for a personal amount? C'mon folks. does the reward vs risk ratio really pay off for you? Use your heads bro. Get a source. Leave the smuggling to the pros who do it for us. But .. if you are stupid enough to try it .. well then i dont feel bad at all for you if you get pinched.

what about that one guy who claims that he went up to a border agent and asked him that if it was legal to bring back 5 boxes of steroids ? Supposedly, the border agent said you are allowed to bring back 5 boxes, but if you are trying to hide/smuggle them, then it's illegal. For fun, you should ask a border agent and ask him that you want to know if it's legal.. if it is, there you go , if it's not, pop your door panel off and put them in there.. 
Legally, you can not bring any controlled substance across the border.
These are all Class III controlled substances (same as Vicoden).
I went to Tijuana twice last year. One time I crossed by foot - no search (I didn't have any thing on me).
Second time, a local was giving me a paid ride in his private car and INS person found it out. They did special search of the car, mostly my carryon, (but didn't search my body).

i was down in cancun this past summer and yeah you can buy gear at any pharmacy on the street, thet are by daddy-o's, the city, even right across the street from the oasis hotel is one and the only vet pharmacy i found was in the boon docks,lol any way it is easy to get and you can do it while you are there but i wouldn;t try bringing it back it is too hard and yeah you may do it once or twice but when you do get cought which can be on your first try you will be very sorry. i mean i got some gear while i was there and i wouldnt do it again. to risky and to many chances for a search at any given time.

1) Put it in some other bottle like propecia or aspirin or whatever. get it sealed, or open it and pop 1 and tell 'em you took one earlier. (make sure # of pills add up to the description)
2) even easier: MAIL it to yourself in your home country. Less stressful. Less risk. But higher chance of not getting it through.
3) do a combo of #1 and #2.
Millions of mexicans get through the border. I'm sure folks can get some tiny little bottles through.

If you are only getting a personal supply of gear and taking THAT MUCH RISK for just that then you should rethink your proposed action, IMO

Everyone talks about how hard it is to get through customs. Is that American customs or Mexican customs? The reason i ask is that i've been to mexico numerous times and only when i go through the states do i get searched. Is that just a matter of chance? Are mexican authorities heavy on searching? I've neever been searched by them.

just beware of little scams they do when you leave the pharmacy. you'll get a "runner" who'll ask money to walk it to the border for you. If you don't pay him -- he tips off a cop who come gets you and arrests you. Then you gotta pay "him" to get out of the handcuffs. Easier to get a local mexican to buy it for you then. or buy it close to the border.
Bringing it back to canada is easy. of all the years i've gone to canada through the airport -- i have yet to be searched. and being young, male, travelling alone -- i sure fit the profile to a T.
