I'm not sure if I'll get this right. I saw him explain it once, years after the fact. Most people have assumed that he was taunting the audience after having played a short, sloppy set. But he was really talking about his own feelings of watching things implode when they were on the verge of success.

no, it's a Sex Pistols Documentary with commentary from all surviving members including Malcom McLAren (that prick!). From like 2002 I think. I recommend it.
