Have them look into your excessive sucking too. Nobody should suck as much as you do, its just not natural.

I sleep 9 hours a night. 6mg Melatonin + 5 grams of GABA. I don't even roll over half the time. I doubt I could sleep without that shit though.

the physiologically active dose of melatonin is .3 or so mg. I've taken from .5mg up to 6 mg and still cant sleep for shit. Link to your gaba supplement.

me too. Pretty sure I have sleep apnea. Next time I'm at the doc in July, I'm gonna request a study. :(
hey before that request from a DME company or sleep lab an overnight oximetry test... you'll wear a pulseox on your finger all night to see if you have an abnormal amount of desats. It could help rule out sleep apnea, but it's a pretty limited test.

Not drinking has made it hard to sleep lately. I take 9mr of melatonin and 3 benadryl on an empty stomach before dinner. About a half hour after I eat I'm ready for bed.

something is wrong with me too. i'm often tired as fuck all the time. and i have major problems getting up in the morning. feels like i havent slept at all most of the time

i may have sleep apnea or an insulin problem. not sure which

i should really see a doc

cool, I'll bring it up with my diggity-diggity-doctor. I can fall asleep pretty much anytime, anywhere. When I go to bed though I often wake my wifey up with my snoring. I can't lay on my side too long either (too uncomfortable). Then I'm frequently tired during the day. :(

What you need is to have 4 hour long sex sessions with multiple chicks.....that'll put you out!
this is a bit of a subject change so bear with me and maybe I should change this to another forum but here goes anyway.

Why is it that I always want a snack after sex? I would rather just go to sleep but I really want to eat something. Hmmm. THAT is what makes me sleepy the next day.

Hi My 2nd BFF.....By the way, I have the best remedy to help with sleep. If you want to know, I'll pm it to you.
I used to be the BEST insomniac! I sleep like a bebe now

My mother in law is prescribed provigil (modafinil) and she gave me a couple. They worked great for focus and kept me awake without any jitters or sides. I went to my normal doc and told him I had a hard time focusing and was tired and that the provigil worked for me. he gave me a script for the 200mg/day. It kicks ass so far. w/o insurance it'd be 300$ tho, but w/ insurance 25$ aint bad... try it out

I got a sample pack of provigil a while ago... I loved it. Thanx though, I may go that route.

it's not going to really matter if I'm awake all day anyways. Fuck this sucks. I work in a god damned sleep lab and I cant even sleep.

I got so bad last summer 25mg of ambien barely put me down. I just finally had to go the route of getting off ambien cold turkey and basically not sleep until the point of exhaustion (and then some).

I thought u slept fine bich

I wake up almost every hour to go piss, I drink so much water during my workouts which are late at night. And I wake up around 3-4 am to eat, every night never fails. No sleep issues this year, have before and it sucks.

I have been put on all kinds of crap to sleep and some help but nothing like the good ole days on ghb. I am going to ask my doctor next time I go about it but he'll probably laugh at me.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is the only company who can sell GHB legally now, and only for the treatment of narcolepsy + cataplexy. You have to get it directly from the manufacturer. The company was sued last year for marketing it to combat fatigue etc etc...

The best predictor for sleep apnea is neck circumference.

I take a 20" collar on a dress shirt. I like to use a wedge-shaped pillow with the thick part under my neck. I usually fall asleep on my side, but wake up on my stomach with a face full of pillow, dreaming of suffocation or claustrophobia. I cannot fall asleep on my back, I wish I could.

Most people who suffer insomnia are deficient in potassium and other minerals
I used to have horrible insomnia and it was pretty bad when I started treatment last Nov.
But since upping my potassium, I sleep like a baby 95% of the time and my life is more stressful now than it was when I had my worst insomnia

A lot of the time for a lot of people what is actually happening when you ''cant fall asleep supine'' is that you are falling asleep supine for a few seconds but your airway is collapsing and you're having sleep onset apneas. You usually never get out of stage 1 sleep while doing that so you'll think you're conscious the entire time because you really are mostly conscious during stage 1 sleep.

In "Principles and Practices of Sleep Medicine" their statistic was the chances of you having some sort of obstruction in your airway becomes around 60% if you have a neck bigger than 15.6''.

Is stage 1 sleep where you're dreaming but still aware of your surroundings? I do that a lot.

You're probably right, but I feel like I breathe better on my back, that's why I WISH I could sleep in the supine position. I do have breathing problems that affect me when I'm laying down, but not during the day. But it's sinus/upper respiratory.

everyone i know has this problem, i started doing the following about a month ago and have started feeling better, not so tired, has to be something a lot of people are doing, or intaking.

stopped drinknig energy drinks one month ago
drink only one cup of coffee every other day if that
I only drink water
stopped eating 2 hours before bed
taking allergy meds with ephedra in it.
make myself get up when the alarm goes off (no snooze) and jump out of bed and either jog in place or hit the floor and start doing pushups to get the blood flowing.

try drinking nothing but water and take an allergy med for a few weeks, i bet you will feel better.

those can be called ''hypnogogic hallucinations'' or you're just transitioning to sleep, dunno which one. Do your legs jerk while you're going to sleep also?

My only hope is to keep from taking any sort of stimulants whatsoever...

When you have alcohol in your system the body only averages about 3 hours of real sleep. The rest of the time your tossing and turning or going to the bathroom. Even if you sleep for 10 hours the body only gets 3 hours of quality sleep. Just another reason why booze is not good for the body, but especially on cycle. Sleep is very important either way.
