If they're only going to beat Northern Ill by 7, they're going to have problems the rest of the season.
NIU is the best MAC team this year... Maryland is the best team ever to visit Delkalb, the whole freaking town has been shut down for days... This game = NIU superbowl..
NIU will be soooo ready, and maryland has some key injuries...
Also, Maryland wont show all their stuff the week before they play FSU either, so you are going to see very basic sets and defenses from the terps..
That being said, the terps still win, but this game will be much closer then it should, and thats why the Line is -8 Terps.

If Maryland doesn't turn the ball over, they should win by 2 TDs. N Ill only prospered last year because they had a positive turnover ratio in every game in their conference. If they turn the ball over, they're doomed.
