GNC - Filthy Crap??

GNC is selling their 'pure whey' or whatever it's called for $75 for 12 pounds.

Any opinions on their protein? And why would a store called "General Nutrition Center" not sell pure complex carbohydrates? What a dump.

i hate gnc they are scum sucking bottom feeding trashbag hoes ,, i was in there about a wk ago and this little guy comes in asking the lady what can he take to get more muscle mass,,she is looking at him like she is frickin retarded so i said to him just get some andro,creatine,protein and tribulus if you wanted to pack on mass naturally,,the lady overhears me and tells me to leave the store that they do not condone selling steroids!! I was like what?? I just said get some andro and the lady was sayin that andro converts to STEROIDS and they told me to leave or they would call the cops..sheesh whats wrong with this world today FUCK GNC,they are overpriced anydamn way

i used to manage a GNC and i'd definatley never shop there. We still had a 10 year old bucket of WEIDER BEEF PROTEIN that we weren't allowed to known loss. Stay away... stay far away.

Right on! If you go to GNC, you are throwing your money away. Find a local discount store or use the Internet, just DO NOT but from that chain of ripoff stores.

Honestly, it could taset better, but it is a good source of protein. If you do a search you can find that a lot of people on this board do use it.

Personally, I always point customers towards designer.

IF you're getting the 30% emplyoee discount it's okay, but their stuff is overpriced... example: i was doing price checks on EAS phosphagen pure creatine monohydrate and it costs 45 or 50 bucks at GNC, and at the wholesale supps store 10 minutes from that GNC, 26 bucks....

I take their whey protein everyday and I like it. I don't buy much else from them but I like their protein. $75 for 12lbs. is a good price plus you get 20% off with a gold card and it's convenient. I haven't seen any other protein much cheaper. Later Billy

GNC's whey protein is fine. Its good and its cheap as hell. Tell me how some one year old internet company can produce higher quality protein cheaper than GNC. With a gold card you can get 12lbs for $60. That means you can take shitloads of it.

All GNC's protein powders are manufactured by Costellos...who's in-house brand is Optimum Nutrition. So, Pro Performance Whey is virtually the same as Optimum whey, but PP is a bit higher in sodium.

I don't know why you even step their doors. My fav protien is SciFit Whey Complex Plus = 54 grams protien.

My fav source for this is www.muscleshop.net. He even sells it by 17 pound bucket for like $120!
