GH vs. Lipo

muslhead

New member
I have been "lurking" around the board for months now absorbing as much as possible. Despite the bashing and out-of-line flaming that occurs this board has "THE" most knowledgeable bros of them all. Even though I have been in the iron game along time (25 years) and the AAS game for 18, I bow down to the experts of this board.

I was hoping some of the bros with GH experience can give me their opinion on which path they would chose if money were no object. You can't do both just one or the other.

The goal is to remove the fat deposits around my midsection while retaining as much mass as possible.

Assumptions:
The liposuction (stomach area only) is going to be $5000 which would you chose to accomplish the goal of permanent fat reduction
The alternative path GH - the $5k would buy a shit load of GH (10-15 kits)

I think the GH is a more timely path and would bring with it some potential sides (both good and bad) while the lipo is quick and also brings with it some sides but in my opinion, less potential risk.

A bit about me to aid in the decision
I am 45, 6'1' 225 ~10-12% bf , competed once so I am not too "lazy" to diet but realized that my genetics has "gifted" me with a couple of fat pockets that are very stubborn. The more I dieted to get those pockets to disappear, the more the muscle disappeared so I reached a point of diminishing returns and the fat remained. I am sure could improve the dieting and use yohimburn and/or other lipolytic products to get better results and am more than willing to give it another go. I do weights 4 days a week (as heavy as my joints will allow) and cardio 3-4 ( 3 days for 40 minutes and 1 day @ an hour). I eat very well and am extremely disciplined. In my earlier days workouts were my life but now I have found the proper balance so while they are still as important, I am not obsessed as I once was.

I'd appreciate your input considering the risks and rewards of accomplishing the stated goal .... so which choice is it and why?

Thanks in advance to all that reply

If I had my choice, I would go for the lipo. I have done two cycles with GH and was not extemely happy with the results. Surgery on the other hand always comes with risk. My first GH cycle my foot grew 1 and 1/2 sizes. My tonsills also grew three times the normal size and had to be removed. Who knows what the rest of my insides look like after that? It made me a bigger and heavier person all around. A friend of mine had the surgery done and is now extremely happy with his results. If I remember correctly, it takes about 6 months for the full effect. He also mentioned that it was pretty painful at first. Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose.

I think before you set on either path you need to clearly define your goals and ask yourself what it is you are trying to accomplish. Then ask yourself if you will be able to maintain the accomplishment should you acheive it.

10-12%bf is not bad and far below average. I have run GH and have not noticed a significant fat loss effect but so far have had to cut my first 2 runs short due to side effects. Ive currently been on 2-3IU daily for some time now and still dont notice significant fat loss although the scale indicates a decrease in weight of about 8lbs.

Ive never had lipo, but have contemplated it myself. The recovery period from what I understand is long and very uncomfortable. In the end it boils down to personal preference. Neither is a quick fix and neither is permanent and why I stress the fact that your going to have to be certain you can live up to the goals you strive for.

How do you think people gained fat in the first place? Likely sedentary life style and too many calories. Lipo is permanent in the sense that it actuallu sucks out the fat cells, however if you overeat you body will need to store the excess calories and where do you think thats done? Its done in fat cells and more will be created to store the excess calories if the need arises. Yes, you do permanently remove fat cells via lipo, but if the need arises the body will create more.

I vote lipo, then followed by renewed dedication, diet, roids and/or HRT - if it can only be one or the other, choose the later as a lifestyle

I would go with the gh. It would come with many other benefits besides shedding away that unwanted fat.

Lipo will not give you strength.
Lipo will not make you grow.

Do the lipo. I had my entire trunk done by a Plastics doc Im friends with so it was only 2k......I really never go >10% so the results were amazing. esp between my belt line and belly button...Never a roll but, a fat deposit....2 years later I did gh and shot my lower abs.....very moderate dieting easily braught them out in a big way-----------Freak

Wow! I thight this thread died a fast death:D

Thanks for all the input. I decided to give the GH a try since it was a bit cheaper and brought other positive bennies along with its use. Plus, at low doses it is substantially cheaper for a short 6 month trial cycle. Lipo is still an option depending upon if the GH does the trick.

Thanks to all that responded

Good call. At 45 years old you will see a lot of positive side effects from the gh to go along with the fat loss.

Good Luck!

Liposuction Surgery is an excellent tool to sculpt localized fat when other techniques fail. In the best liposuction surgery, there is a small layer of fat left behind trying to duplicate the surrounding regions. When too much fat is removed, the skin can scar to the deeper tissues resulting in abnormal adhesions on movement. Fat cells removed by liposuction are gone permanently . However, remaining fat cells can put on more fat. Liposuction is therefore not permanent. You can still put on weight after liposuction. Excessive general fat is better controlled by dieting and exercise.

Hope this helps,
