Getting back to normal?

It's been a hard month.

I think it's a couple of matters. Some real BS at my last gym really put me off working out there. I changed gyms, but the new one really isn't that good, so I suppose I'll go back to the first place next month.

Also, the lousy weather (cold/wet) has really messed me up. I know it drains me, and last couple years I've trained I lived in a much drier climate (makes a difference).

Well, it's been a month I've slacked from the gym. I do try to get in 3 times a week just to go through the motions so I'm not totally out of it, but I've just been too drained to really get good workouts going.

Anyone else go through this? What helped break you out of it? It's basically like this....I used to enjoy working out....now, it's a drag. Not that I hate going to the gym for exercise sake, but it's become such negative part of the day I want to avoid it.

I believe warmer weather will help end this, but a big problem is the negative vibes I've gotten at the gym I have to use (limited options in my area).

I'll give it a shot....

Here's what I do, but you probably know this already. Whenever I get stale or stagnant with workouts I just change my routine around. Instead of lifting for 1 hr or more I back off & limit my workouts to 30-35 mins. I do strip sets for most of the workout & bump up the intensity level. Keep reps in the 6-10 range. Take every 3rd day off. Seems easier for me to stay totally focused for 30 min. rather than 60. I get a helluva pump & have more energy when I use this routine. I never feel like I'm overtraining either. Maybe try something similar to this for 6-8 weeks to help you break out of your funk & re-charge your batteries. Just a suggestion, but really....this helps me alot.
