How much should this cost - Need to get my Pathfinder done for the first time (Looking to go to smaller Hand/Car wash place).

Do it yourself ... great exercise.

Speaking of which ... time for me to get some S100 Total Cyle wash and 303 Aerospace protectant to detail my engine.

your vehicle can be the most expensive or 2nd most expensive item you own, therefore take car of it

Paying someone else to clean, polish and wax it IS taking care of it.

Your house is the most expensive item you'll own, unless you've got a yacht or a jet. If you could afford a maid, would you still do all your own housekeeping? If you could afford a Mexican, would you still do your own yardwork?

some people rent or lease or whatever you want to call it

I can't stand to wash my car! But when I had my suv I paid 20.00 for a detailed hand wash. That included cleaning the tires and inside. Hand wax was about 30.00 extra. Never go to those drive through car cleaners..they are a rip off. (I don't mean the ones at the gas station)
I am not a rich woman but I do pay to have my car detailed. I will also hire a maid once/twice a month for the house. Nice to have someone else just come in and do it for you. I work 40+ hours a week. I don't want to spend much more time than I have to for cleanliness but I can't stand to be in a dirty car or house.

Non sequitur.

IF you could afford to pay someone to clean your house, would you still do it yourself?

If the author of this thread doesn't get off on grooming his car, why not pay for a detail service?
