Ok all these mods coming and going on here has been bothering me, heres why....I have moded on sites before so what i want to know is are the mods your hireing and fireing seeing everyones isp number in the corner of the threads? Please be straight up about this...Because i know it can be turned on or off...and i hope its off for our safety you watch out for so much....So how many tools are really on for the mods to use...Thanks

they straightened it out, mods do not have access to IP's unless needed for a good reason.

Once a mod is deactivated, they dont' have access to anything.
Your IP address doesn't tell your specific address- and its often off by quite a bit regarding your general location.

An IP shows only details of the ISP people is registered. Details which are KNOWN to the general public.

IPs were assigned in blocks, so if you use comcast I can know that. Depending on the naming scheme of your ISP I could discern, with luck, in what city you live. That is all.

If you have a fixed IP addy, then there is hardly anything dumber than browsing without a proxy... Chances are that if you have a fixed IP you own a domain, which is registered... guess what then? whois and POW!!!

Only with a court order, can the ISP disclose further details.

correct.

an IP is just one factor i would use in trying to find out where someone lived. it would maybe help me get a general location.

you would need other personal info to pinpoint who and where.

Ok just wondering...I wont get into all the stuff that you can use a ISP for because i can do plenty things with one myself...If it wasnt a big deal we wouldnt need to have proxy servers now would we...Funny post pintoca scared nah i am to smart and safe my point being a mod shouldnt have others isp #...Maybe they get busted and start forking off numbers,who needs the extra headachs......I can get in enough trouble without a some pussys help...Enough said...
