I guess since the SuperQT thread took a tangent it got locked because it was not on the same topic it started on? Seemed like related subjects but maybe not.
As far as re evaluating the rules, I hadn't heard of anything, it was clearly posted what the criteria were for new mods, and I would assume it is still the same based on the fact that I haven't seen anything else posted that supercedes the rules that were laid out the last time around.
of course there are exceptions!!!! Not all mods are elected by the people, some are brought it for specific areas of expertise or because of their affiliations. I don't have a problem with that and realize that there are always exceptions to the rules.

the forum DOES need a moderator. there are many times where an event needs to be abandoned and only mods can do it. polfajelfa used to do it a lot, so did devastation, now neither of them are mods. Its nice to have a mod that really takes responsibility for the stuff that needs to be done in there. swole would be an excellent choice.George Spellwin said:

it's in need of someone that is frequently in the forum and familair with the rules and standards set forth by the betting community for things like settling pushes, edit events for people when they mess up on the limit ammount or closing time, rather than create three new ones (liek I did about five times already), and other stuff like that.George Spellwin said:

The bookie forum needs someone who is on a lot of the time and also who is familiar with the whole betting thing. Every now and then a new bookie comes along and messes up an event...so instead of trying to find some on-duty mod, he can just PM the appropriate bookie forum mod to fix his event. Also, having someone around to settle pushes would be KEY. I would like having 1 bookie mod to deal with instead of explaining what the situation is to another random mod.
