Geocities problem

I uploaded a pic to geocities, but when i make a link to the pic it isn´t shown.
If i type the URL into a browser window it is shown.
What am I doing wrong?

You didn't do anything wrong. Geocities doesn't allow hotlinks, because it uses up bandwidth, and doesn't allow them to show their ads.
