Gear on a plane?

My job has me travelin alot, wanted to know what precautions i needed to take, if any, by keepin my gear in my luggage that i check? (not my carry on)

Problem is, with my job i never know when im leavin out...can get a call and have to be on plane next day...hate to stop a cycle 2 weeks in....any other suggestions?

always be ready to overnight it to your new lacation (provided your staying domestic) expensive but better than cuttin cycle short

are you gone Monday through Friday or is it more like just a couple days here and a couple of days there?

Depends, last trip i was gone for 12 days...one before that was on the road physcically traveling for 3 months from city to city....i always have access to a gym or some sort of facility while i travel.

All of my traveling is done on the road, but its that initial flight to HQ that is gettin me. might have to take fish's advice and just eat the cost of Next Day Air'n it to my location.

unless anyone has anything better, im all ears!!

Thanks again

Good luck is all I can say be careful! Especially lately you can not even take frickin toothpaste onboard anymore.

A tip would to be use longer acting items.

Very true B-man, definately wasnt plannin on carryin ON the plane wit me, just wanted to leave it in checked luggage. Didnt know if there was anything there i should be worried about, since it would be mingling next to the toothpaste

If that would be always your schedule, the solution is simple but hard at the same time. Get a prescription for them. Hard to get it, but once you have it, no problems anymore.

I use to put the needles in my toiletry kit
And syringes, in suitcase. Gear anywhere.

Now, I don’t know, if they found needles they may freak out,

I have said, Oh I sell them, which is in fact true. And it is easy to
Check with surgical instruments, gear, needles, alcohol and syringes.

Keep them separate. I had a secondary search a few months back. They found the syringes in my checked bag. Did not ask or say a word. They did look around that bag but that was the end of it. Scary and my BP went sky high. I needed that pre-take off drink to calm down.

better than snakes on a plane

thats exactly what i was going to say :p ... on a serious note i have brought stuff back from MX in my cargo shorts and i was cool, tabs and vials but that was 2 yrs ago so i dont know how much more advanced they are

i would just have it shipped to your destination/hotel or unless you are coming back within a wk then just wait it out.. better safe then sorry

Just check the bag and you'll be fine.

I've never had a problem with orals, just put them in a prescription bottle or a excedrin asprin bottle. I never travel with injectables, i just use gear with longer life when im in travel status
