Gear For A Friend

My friend wanted me to pose this question for Rick, or any of the law gurus. If he ordered gear for a friend that was an overseas order, and the gear was tagged by customs at the border and the order is confiscated. So now he and his friend are out of luck. His friend is now claiming that he should pay him back the money that his friend gave to him for the order that never arrived. This guy is also claiming, jokingly...but maybe not, that he is going to tell the police that he tried to sell this guy steroids. My question is, if this guy does go to the police and say that this guy was trying to sell him steroids, what kind of authority do the police have in this matter? Could they just show up and question? Or could they get a warrant for a search based upon this one guys claim that he was trying to sell to him?

And this guy certainly has none of that. Plus, the guy has a wrap sheet with the authorites about a mile long from dui's to jail. My friend has no record.....not even a speeding ticket! I just wasn't sure if the police would end up knocking on my friends door and bothering him, or if they would just not even bother pursuing it.

I fired one guy from where I work for stealing 250.00 dollars of supplements. He and his girlfriend went to the police and said that I had sold him steroids a few months prior. On july 2nd a full swat team searched my home and seized computers books and a number of other items, they also raided my place of employment and turned my life upside down. Its now been been four months, I don't have any of my shit back, nor do I know if any thrumped up charges are going to be filed. My whole situation is fucked.

next time, call the police when you fire him and have them take him away in cuffs. That'll make his initial complain a whole lot less convincing.
