Gear and bloodwork...

Hey Bros,
Im want to have some bloodwork done to monitor my body. What should I be looking for?
I want to check out my cholesterol levels.
I have done gear for a while and dont know what to look for so I could "read" my kidneys.
Also my Dad died at a young age of cancer, is there anything else I should look for?
