What is it about gay marriage that has all you homophobes in an uproar?

Rick Santorum the poster boy for the proposed constitutional amendment said that this would lead to the decay of traditional marraige and society. Is there some sort of power exerted from the ASS - PENIS connection that send out a societal decay ray that I'm not aware of?

What ever happened to States Rights? This is a states rights issue, not a federal issue.

The Senate vote for cloture was nothing more than a ruse setup by the Republicans to paint Gay Marriage as a campaign issue so that Bush can firm up his base. Given that we're only 4 mnths from the election and Bush is having to use desperate spin tactics to firm up his base he is in trouble.

Also right now in the house and senate are bills that are getting no press what soever that give even larger corporate tax breaks. I think if those get any bigger corporations will actually be getting checks directly from every tax payer.

Buried even deeper is the cut in combat hazard pay for our troops by HALF!

Yep, your Republican President and Republican controled House and Senate that wrap themselves in the flag and send you GI JOES off to war are cutting your hazardous duty pay by HALF.

Plus if you are getting OT pay right now, on August 23rd that shit is gone! You are fucked. Once again you can thank the Republicans and the your Republican President.

Stop being an anti-American.
If you don't like it, you can get out.

YOU KNOW WHAT DUMBSHITS WHO TALK LIKE THIS WHY DONT YOU GET OUT
lol

WODIN,

I posted this in another thread, it's all about the fear of change. The religious folks who have issues with gay marriage are afraid of change. They would like to have it as it was during the mid 20th century. Unfortunately for them, change is the only constant in the universe. If these people want to stop time completely and keep everything "as is", I am sure the Amish in Pennsyvania would welcome them with open arms.

I know several people in the Amish community. They're ass pounders in there too. LOL!!! Also they think that the rest of us are going to burn in their amish heck, being whipped by deamons and forced to engage in rake fights for satans amusement.

STG.

If you look at the history of marriage the only reason it has survived is that it changed and evolved over time.

I should go beat my father-in-law up because my wife didn't come with a dowrey and live stock.

I just don't see what the big deal is......why are people so interested in who marries whom & who does what with whom in the bedroom?? It's none of my business whether someone sleeps with a man or woman, hetero or homo........I mean, what's next -- brown eyed people can't marry blue eyed people?? Ridiculous!!

With the divorce rate at the level it is, the % of married men/women who cheat on spouses, etc.....how can anyone say that Gay marriage will ruin marriage as we know it?? It's already pretty fucked up........it can't get any worse....

Did you marry outside of your social status? The Brits (and they weren't the only ones) were into marrying within class. God help you if you fell in love with someone below your class.

I married way over my head. :)

 LOL!! Who doesn't get married way over their heads? Not that I am a marriage expert, but to me, it's like buying a house. You're scared to death of it at first, but after awhile, buyers remore wears off, and you get comfortable with the payments.

But obviously, there are those who never get over the buyers remorse, and want to put it out on the market again.
