Gave my two weeks notice...

this morning. They asked me to stay. I tactfully said hell no. Also had a "exit interview" which means I had the opportunity to tell them ALL about how the company needs to improve. The exit interview took almost 2 hours Then they escorted my ass out of there!

Yeah that is the way sales is they don't think your going to actually work well your there in your last 2 weeks but I still would have as there was a bright light at the end of the tunnel.

usually not, unless they offered you some sort of serverence, which is doubtful since you quit.

We do that here, sometimes when someone gives notice, if we think they will actually be more of a pain the ass to keep around, we'll just say "hand over your badge and pager now" and escort them out. Sometimes people give notice and they spend the next two weeks talking bad about the management, company, etc.. or start gathering information, contacts, etc to take to their new job. In cases like that they get the boot, unpaid of course.

From what I know about the past the two weeks was paid we will see. The laws are diffrent here as well I spoke with labour ministry here and they would need to provide me with at least one weeks pay if they did this from what I was told.

I was there 6 months today. The way the company ran was not at all conducive to me making money. The bottom line that is the most imortant thing in sales to me is, where can I work that I am going to make the most money. I was there 6 months worked my ass off. In company with a more open enviroment I would be raking it in right now and be happy as hell. I didn't see my long term future there at all.
Then I got a call from a very large company that was very interested in me. Had a phone interview and the interview loved me. Had a face to face with a sales manager and of course impressed him too, so much so that he offerd me the job on the spot.
