Gas crisis

Last night I drove by 15 different gas stations that were completely out of gas. I finally found one that had some, and waited almost an hour and a half to fill up. The whole valley is like that right now.

There was even one station in Phoenix that was charging $3.47 for a gallon of gas!!

Apparently there is a problem with a pipeline from Tuscon that is getting repaired and in the meantime we have to rely on trucks running up here from Tuscon for our gas.

So once the news got out everyone started stockpiling gas, putting it in milk containers, and topping off every chance they could.

Apparently the exec from the pipeline company is meeting with our governor today to discuss the issue. The pipeline company were informed by inspectors that they could still operate it at 50% capacity, and possibly increase it to 80% assuming everything was working correctly.

However, they decided on their own to completely shut it down and now we're in this "crisis".

So the only way Phoenix is getting gas right now if from trucks coming up from Tuscon.

The thing that sucks is I only have enough gas left in my truck to maybe make it to one or two stations that are close. Looks like I'll be calling all day asking "do you have gas yet."

LOL....too bad I live 30 minutes outside of town. I've begun the "do you have gas yet" phone calls which I'll be making every 30 minutes. Otherwise I'm stuck at home the whole day. BORING!
