N nycman New member Sep 27, 2001 #2 Furosemide = Lasix Furosemide is the generic name of Lasix. It is a diuretic. Usually comes in 20, 40, or 80mg pills. Fun Pharm Fact: It got it's brand name from the fact that is "LAsts SIX" hours.
