Furniture question

TheProject

New member
Okay, I know this is kind of an obscure one, but I'll take a shot and see if someone on Elite knows the answer.

I have a drafting table made by Hamilton Mfg. Co. It's gotta be at least 20 years old, wood with metal braces, and has a case for storage when the table's disassembled.

My parents think it's worth something, and I've got no idea.

Anyone know?

"If it's not Scottish....it's CRRRRRAP!!!"

:lmao:

glad I could help...

Well, if Louie made the table I would've asked YOU a long time ago!

Well good morning Mr Insult...have you seen The Project around here?

What type of wood is it made out of?

What type of finish does it have?

good questions, and I'm not real sure.

I'd guess MAYBE mahogany on the legs and frame, and on the tabletop, I've got no clue.

Damn...can't even get a good flame war going these days. Fine...go back to talking about Furniture.

:lmao:

It is probably oak. Hamilton is the Cadillac of drafting tables--for us oldtimers anyway. Like anything else, its value is only determined by someone who really wants it. Personally, I would hang onto it iand keep it in good condition. The value will only go up since there aren't many of them around any more.
