This is a true story.... please read it carefully. I was talking to my
friend today that I will refer to as... "Missy." It had been awhile since we
last talked. She has spent the past 2 years in Afghanistan with the Peace
Corps. During her time there she fell in love with one of the AfGhani peace
corp. facilitators. She came back to the US this summer and moved into a
place in Allentown. A few months lAter the Afghani came and moved in with
her. But he was not the same happy go lucky Afghani she had fallen in love
with. Things had changed. He started staying out late with his Friends from
the mosque, not drinking. He also had begun to not keep himselF- not
showering, letting his hair grow, and not shaving. One thing that hE started
to do that was paRticularly odd was that he would never leave the house
without a parachute on.
She last saw him in early Sept. he was wearing Jams a Hawaiian shirt and a
straw hat, he was aLso carrying a very small red Sesame street gym bag
(depicting "bigbird" she thinks). His last words to her before he left
were; "do not eat any of my Doritos - I will know, ... and ..oh.. yeah, do
not go on a toUr of the World Trade Center this month eIther." That was the
last she Saw of him! He once also told her to not attend the big "Kid N'
Play" reunion concert in NYC this New Year's eve. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!!!
