I know that hearing that someone was killed by Pirates is weird but to say that its' funny is wrong. Think of it as a car jacking on water. Would you laugh if someone you knew was out on a boat and got shot by someone else?

I'd laugh if they were killed by Beetlejuice from Howard Stern. Does that make it all better?
He's a fucking sailor. He's done nothing for me and I don't know a damn thing about he or his family, so yes it is funny.
If we can all cheer for Taliban members to be killed, I'm allowed to think a real life pirate murdering a man is funny.
Furthermore when you go to a funeral you life about the deceaseds past. Well, I'm doing that as well.

Who gives a crap about the Taliban. But this guy was just killed by some whaco loosers. I agree with hoeycow it is really not funny. There are lots of pirates on the sea and they don't wear funny hats, have a bird on their shoulder and say silly saying like "Shiver My Timbers". These are crooks on the water and they kill innocent sailors and sea men all the time.
I think personally they should have to walk the plank into shark infested water for their punishment. I mean these guys steal tankers, yaught you name it.

Look Psycho, laugh all you want at this thing we obviously have a difference of opinion here. Of course we need to laugh at life and as I've said twice before it's strange to see that Pirates still exist and do what they do. You automatically get a picture of parrots and swords and "walk the plank" and shit like that. I read the story before I saw it here on CNNSI because the title obviously caught my attention. I just personally don't find it funny that they killed the man. I'll be the first to admit that I have a strange sense of humor and I laugh more from seeing someone wipe out than tell a joke. I've had enough people around me lately pass and admit that you need to laugh at life to make it through sometimes too. I was at a funeral last month and I leaned over and cracked a sick joke to my friend and we both started laughing our asses off, good thing was that people thought we were crying. Anyways point is this is a chat board, we all have opinions and ideas different from each other and I'm not going to let a post get under my skin.

I believe the aspect of this news story we found humorous was the fact that pirates still exist in this supposedly civilized day and age. The death of an innocent person or innocent persons is never an amusing occurance.
