I'm here at work on the weekend and doing shit - and the fact that this computer is a dual processor fast machine means that it can open windows faster than I can close them.
I had to restart my server and lost code I was working on.

not a virus - it is just a web page that has javascript to span a new window, and then each new window spawns one off, and then when you close one is spawns more.
so if you have a fast computer, it will spawn them off faster than you can close them.

it is basically a recursive loop that feedsback into itself without any stop checks and is usually a sign of bad programming - but in this case it is intentional just to be a dick.

it is the same concept that porn sites use that when you close one window it spawns another - but they actually want you to see the page so they don't continually spawn them.

a little knowledge lets you do really annoying things :)

Yep, it crashed my IE too. Then I had to restart and grr, servers need to ban pages like that. Anal donkey porn fine, annoying window opening things boo!

I'm with everyone else. That was NOT funny. My computer is also really fast and I had to shut it down to get it to stop. Lost an e-mail I've spent the last 40 minutes writing. Thanks.

I actually type really fast but my boyfriend is really lost on final fantasy 10 and has to have me go out there and play the game a fair amount. Type 5 words, "honey, I can't figure this out....", 15 minutes later I'm back at my PC. Plus I tend to ramble....
 
this thread is kinda funny. you'd think after 2 people said clicking on the lind fucked them up nobody would click on the link. but people did.

it's like opening a jar of something foul smelling, other people want to smell it too, even though they know it stinks.
