funeral question

My friend's grandmother passed away a few days ago. The funeral is tomorrow, but tonight they're holding a 'rosary'. ...I've never heard of this before. Is it like a wake, but everyone has to do the rosary beads thing? ...I'm not Catholic, so kind of clueless as to what to expect.

Hmmm, I am Catholic & have never heard of this before.....

Maybe it's a wake where a group says the rosary together......

Just go, its a time to be together. Unless you have a group of total zealots on your hands, no one will expect you to do anything. You do or don't.

If you get uncomfortable, kiss your family and leave.

Funerals are about the living, that includes you, too, so don't worry to much and go comfort those most hurt by the loss.
