Ive been sick of hearing this war/middle east/towelhead shit since 9/11, I wont get into it with anyone since the point is extremely moot and everyone acts like a fucking idiot that tries to argue it(either side)

Because this is the first time in history when it's not PC to say you're a world empire that needs to protect and insure it's interests. IMO there's nothing wrong with it, because if it was not the USA then it would be some other country doing the same thing. The world is a constant struggle for power, and once you get it it's very difficult to maintain it. We're a very young empire, reigning for only about 200 years, with some empires of the past being in power for thousands of years before going under. When you're top dog, everyone barks and wants a piece of you.

Anyway, yes, America will look to maintain its hegemony; most nations in the world ought to hope we're successful too... unless you want say, a Chinese hegemon who has no problem selling nukes to rogue leaders and puts little value on individual human life.
