Fucking Useless Karma Posts

Why is it that people here feel the need to boost their self esteem by posting asking for people to give them Karma points?
Is this what the system was implemented? No, people just sit here and gloat about how having 12 karma orbs is anything worth keeping track of or being the LEAST bit concerned about.
Trolling the board for karma by saying "I'll hit you back" is a cry for help or a sign that you need to get on some SERIOUS psych. meds. And please dont even try to imply that I'm jealous b/c I have one stupid fucking orb. What I have I earned. Unsolicited.
If it were up to me I delete every fucking orb and scrap the whole thing.
The issue that brought this up was a few friends that I had over and elsewhere check out elite and they asked what "Karma" was and what the green orbs were. Also they thought the people putting up the "give me karma posts" were fucking PATHETIC.
This was a mixed group of males/females and different views as well. Not just the nihilistic views of myself.

Some weird ideas

have been introduced here lately but I appaud the intentions. I think Geoge is trying to make it better, when you do that you can have some hits and some misses. The Robot was a miss (what was that?). Karma, in theory, was a good idea (to get rid of the shits that were always negative) but I agree it means little when it becomes an ego booster. Just be patient, I think everything will be worked out for the best in the long run.

I've never jumped on a Karma thread. Not one. Never will.

Most of the people who do, don't spend much time on the anabolic board, so newbies won't confuse them with people who really know their stuff.

I think it's harmless... but when it's used for people to help judge who's really helpful, and who gives good advice, it can be a bad thing.

Someone on the board for 3 months, has a "freak" category, 5 stars, and 8 green orbs for Karma is viewed as someone who knows their shit... when in reality, they're just posting a lot about sex and other stuff.

No biggie, really. Have one talk with someone about AS (the true purpose of this board) and you'll know if they know their shit... or are full of it.

I have to agree with Pink... threads wanting karma and thread about hating it are both old. If you don't like the Karma stuff, then don't. No one is forcing it upon anyone!!
