its makin funny fuckin noises and its really pissin me off!!!!!! im gonna throw it throught the fuckin window!!!!!!!!

Mine's just developed a fault. When I open the lid it works fine so long as I don't open it more than about 30 degrees after which the backlight goes out leaving me with a black screen. If I hold it up to the light I can see that it's still drawing to the screen but it looks like no laptop for Christmas.

Stick a pen in where the fan is, That is what I did last time to fix it. Or you can borrow my laptop. I don't mind.

the pen thing always works. no its not overheating i dont think.

Maybe the fan is dusty and needs to be cleaned.

I had some computer problems a few months ago. Once in a while my computer would overheat, but I wasn't sure if there was a problem with the fan or if it was due to my usage (watching DVDs, leaving it on too often, etc.) In the past I'd left it on all the time and didn't have a problem with it, so I thought maybe it was a problem with the fan but it wasn't happening often enough for me to be certain. One other thing, though, was the fan was also unusually loud, not all the time, but enough. I ended up trying to fix it myself and making the problem ten times worse and had to send the computer in. I thought the fan itself was broken and need to be replaced but it turned out it just had to be cleaned and was really dusty. Since then I've had no problems with it and it doesn't make the incessant noise either. So maybe it needs to be cleaned?

If your computer starts overheating definitely take it in... I don't know much about computer hardware but I was cautioned with something along the lines of if you don't you can eventually burn out the processor or something and then you'll have to replace it which is much more expensive than just cleaning/replacing the fan (someone with more hardware knowledge than me elaborate on this/correct me if you want)
