thank god i didnt grow up in the 90's. That was the most depressing music era I have encountered or heard of.

Everyone sang about being an addict, loser, killer or just hated their life and everyone elses in general. It was a very depressing decade for music (lyrically speaking)

I count techno out of that equation, It was the only good new music to listen to.
