Hey for around 4 grand I would suggest an early model Toyota Celica.

I have one and have 130,000 miles on it, and it runs great.

It also looks nice and doesnt look as old as it is.

I was considering a Celica actually, but I think I may go with a truck as I need to be able to move my stuff around.

yeah toyota is high on reliability. the Corolla is another low cost reliable model. Toyota also makes a truck (the tacoma) but its expensive as hell.

then again, honda is high on reliability but that 88 fell apart.

Yeah I am too scared of a Honda now...although the chances of getting fucked that hard again are extremely slim - I didn't know shit about shit and was just anxious to get something, and I paid the price.

next car you seriously consider, look up a mechanic in the yellow pages who specializes in automotive diagnostic services. they can check it for $-100 or so.
