friends that lift?

just wondering how many of you have friends who are girls that lift (of course, more weight than their purses)? i don't have any. i TRY not to talk to them about weights or diet so as not to potentially offend.

Hmmm come to think of it....

There are at least 5 or 6 girls in the immediate part of my office that go to the gym daily ... I see them there on my lunch sometimes...
Only one lifts ... the others are always talking about abs and cardio and sweat ....

Oh well, 2 out of 7 aren't bad I guess???

I have two girlfriends that lift. One has competed in two fitness competitions. I just started taking my boyfriend to the gym. He wants to put on muscle. No problemo..follow me. I like having a workout partner.

My sister is a BodyBuilder & on this board.

Otherwise I have ONE female friend who lifts intensely. She is also an aerobics instructor at my club. We have lifted before & are a good match, but unfortunately she lifts now at a time that I can't. :(

There is one co-worker of mine who has solicited my advice & she has no fear of "getting big" so I've designed a program for her. She is not very dedicated though.. just wanting to lose fat. Good for her, but it's low on her priority list.

I will talk about it - I don't worry about offending. How can me talking about my own lifestyle be offensive? I only try to keep the talk to a minimum so as not to BORE my friends :D

I beleieve my official title is Amateur BodyBuilder. ;)

I have no girlfriends, so I guess the answer is no by default. I lift with my husband sometimes, and at times he helps me to push myself further than I EVER would have myself, but sometimes he takes the wind right outta my sails...:(

gladiola - yeh i guess offend was the wrong word depending on the friend. BORE (for the people who are happy with themselves and annoy (for my friends and family who know they should eat good and exercise but don't want to think about it).

My closer friends lift and compete...I have a few that dont..but I do not discuss diet or training w/ them...gets me fustrated and they become more and more lazy..and I HATE lazy mofos.
