Free Medical Service...

Does anyone know anything about this? I have talked to a few different organizations in the area and have found nothing. I can not afford medical insurance much less a doctor visit right now.

The people from the assistance programs which I have spoken with have all told me that they can not help me because "my income is still too much" to get assistance. I barely make squat and can't afford to go to the doctor at the moment though.

Any ideas on what to do?

blue cross and blue shield costs about $125 a month in your state and is the cheapest. Also there is no thing as pre-exisiting conditions meaning you can not be denied for a ondition you already have.

1) You could look for a new job that provides medical insurance.

2) You could look for a new job that pays more money so that you can afford medical insurance.

3) Play the lotto

4) Move to Canada

....... but I guess none of these provide an immediate cure to your problem.

get a part time job at starbucks.. they give ALL employee's very cheap healthcare... even if you are part time.

Talk to an agent that sells health insurance. I was getting health insurance after I graduated from college and before I got a job for $90 a month.

If you don't qualify for Medicaid then go to a free clinic. You will have to go to the city to find a free clinic. Otherwise, some Hospitals will provide financing and/or relief as part of donations provided by supports. You could check out Clinical Trails on the net that relate to the health issue you may have. Clinical Trials often provide free total health checkups as part of volunteering for the trial.

The last option could be to go to a big city hospital ER and take no id with you and give them a false name and social sec#. Although I doubt you would do that. NOTE public hospitals in the US that take medicaid CANNOT deny you care even if you cannot show a ability to pay the bill.

IMO.. Go to the hosptial and get your care there.. you health can't wait.. the money will/can come later..
