Hernia update:
My doc said I could hit the gym 6-8 weeks after my surgery and I am going to start back in the gym Monday. I can't wait.
I am going to stay natty for a few months to get my base back (plus my schedule will not permit a cycle until the summer anyway) and I plan to keep the weights light for the first 2-3 weeks to get back in the groove. I plan on hitting the road and start jogging again to drop some weight too.
I am not worried about pushing up insane poundage. Just getting back in the gym is going to be a step in the right direction and I know it will help me mentally to get back on track. Lifting weights is my way of battling the stress of life (and beating depression) and I have been in a mental funk for quite a while. I am feeling better just thinking about getting back in the gym.
I still have some tightness where the doc stuck in the patch but that is normal.
On another note my lifting partner (never used AAS and doesn't use now) blew up from 200lbs to 235lbs (for no reason other than being lazy). I've been in the hospital and had to deal with all this BS with the hernia and my weight is still around 205-210. I learned my lesson when I broke my ankle and I didn’t focus on my diet. We talk shit to each other all the time and I can wait to harass him Monday lol Keeping my diet tight paid off.
Wish me luck! No more freaking injuries this year! (knock on wood!)
